Too Big Boxes? Deliver Them Home With A Ford Transit!

I used to have an orange Matchbox Ford Transit with plastic boxes on it. Therefore I bought one at a flea market to restore and have it again!

The model was in not so bad condition, but the boxes were - naturally - missing. So I needed to replace them with other ones, made for H0 trains, but fit here perfect.

The new paint was almost the same colour, because I wanted to reach the original look of the truck. Then I detailed it and made numer plates, too.

After the resto it took place in my collection!

A Renault 17 In Matchbox Style

The Lesney-made Renault 17 is not really a true copy of te original car, other producers made it nicer, but I like this Matchbox the best! I had this Renault 17 for several decades, but it had to wait for the resto up till 2018. I had to get a new interieur, because te steering wheel was missing and the dashboard was broken, didn't hold properly the windscreen. The wheels were in very bad condition, so I replaced them, too.

After it I started the restoration.

It got a bright sun yellow, not the original red colour (I took the idea from a Lesney blister pack, where a yellow Renault 17 was on the picture and I got to like it).

And I detailed it; at the end it got a sticker (similar, like the original was) and a custom box with the yellow Renault on it).

A Universal Servant From The Mercedes - The Unimog

This is a small truck beloved by a lot of people, so the Lesney also produced this type of the Unimog. I have got a Lesney-made model, but I decided to restore one, too.

I could get a fairly good one. I changed the colours of the parts, not to stay at the original blue and red.

I thought, I would replace the wheels, too, but later I changed my mind, so I used the original ones.
