A Wildcat-Mustang

I have already restored a Lesney Ford Mustang from 1970, now this is a new one, a "Wildcat Dragster" from 1971. The origin of the two cars is same, only the Dragster got a big engine and bigger rear wheels, than the Mustang.

This model was very shabby, but not in bad condition, only the towing hook was missing. But that's general among those old cars; however there's no problem with the loss of it; a pony car, like this one not too often was towing for example a caravan or a trailer...

I painted it nice red and gave her similar stickers, but it as got white cat and letters, which fits better, than the original.

Another Ford Cortina - With No Doors At All

This is a Lesney-made Ford Cortina, which I always put from one box into the other, I always postponed the resto, because this car had no doors at all.

Then, this summer I could get the proper doors for her, so last, not least, the restoration could begin.

I painted it lighter metallic green with the details, too.

The Italian Alfa Romeo Giulietta by the French Majorette

I had never before this Majorette Alfa Romeo, but as I looked at one at the flea market, I came to like it, so I decided to buy it - just for my collection. But I knew, that I shall repaint it, because its back side is so special, that I want to paint the details, too!

This was the original condition, not too bad, but the first left lamp was missing, so I had to replace it with some putty and paint it white. The right one should look similar, so I painted that also white.

The chassis got practically the same red colour, because I like it very much. On the backside of the real car, between the rear lamps there is a line with the name of the car, although it is very small on this model car, I made a thin sticker for it.

The big BMW - From China

It is a MC TOYS-made BMW 750iL model (designed and made in China). Surprisingly it is not a copy of a car of a great manufacturer, but a new, individual and very good production. In quality and size it fits to the Matchbox BMW 535 of the same era (the end of the eighties).

This time I haven't got before pictures, only the result:

And I made a unique custom box for it:

A French made French Renault 5

Once upon a time this French mini car was very popular, and the several models of it - by many manufacturers -, were too. It was a must for Majorette to produce this car and it proved to be a nice one. Although there are no moving part of it, nevertheless they wanted to add something, so this Renault 5 got mirrors on both side and an antenna, too. Unfortunately this plus part is made of plastic and during the past 40-45 years it's broken or missing. On my model the left mirror survived the decades.

When I bought it, it was in a very poor condition.

I painted her nice light blue which colour was general in the 1970-es. Of course, I didn't forget the details, too.

The final step of the restoration: I made her a custom box, too!
