Beetles - but not Beatles

It's always funny to compare, how precisely made the producers the same model, just like the Volkswagen Beetle, a well-known car all over the world. It was always a must for the toy car producers to make any version of the Beetle.

I restored a Matchbox and a Majorette-made model the same time, so I had the chance to compare them, although they are not quite the same.

Which seems to be nicer? Everyone has a favourite kind of Beetle. There are Matchbox and there are Majorette fans...

A Ford Corsair from the Lone Star (IMPY)

Two years ago I bought the car in a pack of six models to restore. I knew, that the Matchbox had also made this Ford Corsair, only this Lone Star is bigger and a bit nicer, let alone the fact, that it has got opening doors, trunk and bonnet. And on top of it, the unassembling was very easy, because the parts are fixed by a simple screw (not by rivets)!

The original colour was not nice...

So it got nice goldish colour - with the details, too.
