The Italian Alfa Romeo Giulietta by the French Majorette

I had never before this Majorette Alfa Romeo, but as I looked at one at the flea market, I came to like it, so I decided to buy it - just for my collection. But I knew, that I shall repaint it, because its back side is so special, that I want to paint the details, too!

This was the original condition, not too bad, but the first left lamp was missing, so I had to replace it with some putty and paint it white. The right one should look similar, so I painted that also white.

The chassis got practically the same red colour, because I like it very much. On the backside of the real car, between the rear lamps there is a line with the name of the car, although it is very small on this model car, I made a thin sticker for it.

The big BMW - From China

It is a MC TOYS-made BMW 750iL model (designed and made in China). Surprisingly it is not a copy of a car of a great manufacturer, but a new, individual and very good production. In quality and size it fits to the Matchbox BMW 535 of the same era (the end of the eighties).

This time I haven't got before pictures, only the result:

And I made a unique custom box for it:

A French made French Renault 5

Once upon a time this French mini car was very popular, and the several models of it - by many manufacturers -, were too. It was a must for Majorette to produce this car and it proved to be a nice one. Although there are no moving part of it, nevertheless they wanted to add something, so this Renault 5 got mirrors on both side and an antenna, too. Unfortunately this plus part is made of plastic and during the past 40-45 years it's broken or missing. On my model the left mirror survived the decades.

When I bought it, it was in a very poor condition.

I painted her nice light blue which colour was general in the 1970-es. Of course, I didn't forget the details, too.

The final step of the restoration: I made her a custom box, too!

This model is a SIKU V-304 Opel GT 1900. When I saw it, I knew, that I want it; only the problem was, the missing left door. From where to get a spare part, like this? I don't think I can get a spare door from somewhere, so I will fill somehow the hole of the missing door.

I used some putty for that work, that hardens well, and can be sanded, painted well.

Although I liked the original colour, I gave it a nicer one, a metallic Burgundy. And painted the details, too. In the meanwhile I got another Opel GT, and I canged the windows, this "SIKU-yellow" fits better to this car. The wheels were OK, I didn' changed them.

Telling the the truth, I'm not really fond of cars after 1990, but there are some which I like, for instance this Majorette Renault Safrane. The model I bought at a fair was not in a very bad condition, nevertheless I decided to customize at once.

It has got a new brighter colour and I painted the details, too. I changed the wheels, the new ones fit better to this nice French car.

And the result:

Now it has got no privat box, but I will surely make one.

Another Mercury Cougar From Matchbox

I've always liked this American muscle car from the '60-es, it has got a very good shape. I have got one in my collection, so I decided to get another one to restore!

Last year I bought one at a fair, wich was in good condition, only there was a small crack on the windscreen, but luckily that was all. I painted her wild red, and the details, too! Her interior was originally red, it wouldn't fit well to the new, red colour, so I painted the interior white.

A Playart Volvo 164 - in 1/64

Although this car was not one of my favourites, when I saw it at a fair, I thought, I would not leave her there, I take home and restore! The parts were in fairly good condition, somebody previously tried to paint the chassis to red - with small success. So it was out of question that I must restore her!

What I really dislike are the exaggerated wheels, so I changed them at once. She got new colour: a lighter metallic blue. I painted the details, too.
