The Malaga. Not the grape, but the SEAT Málaga!

This is a rare SEAT Málaga, the brother of the Fiat Regatta, made by the Spanish Guisval. Previously I had never seen this model.

It is rather a toy car, than a model, the producer wanted to save the interior with the dark windows. At the first sight it was funny, because I saw no rivets or screws. How was it assembled? Then I found out, that it was snapped together.

So I could carefully disassemble, all the small flaps could survive! With the new color, new wheels and details, now it looks much better, became a model car!

At the end I made a custom box for it!

Opel Omega

This is an interesting Opel Omega Mk1 model, because there's nothing is written onto its baseplate. But by the internet I got to know that it is made by Welly.

Although it was in fairly good condition, I thought, I will repaint and customize, because that way it looked  as a toy, this way looks as a model car! So it got nice metallic burgundy and at the end I detailed, too.

I changed the wheels, as well:

This is my fourth Hungarian Police Car, a Mercedes-Benz 240, but in this case it is not a German SIKU model - like the previous was -, but a Corgi Juniors one. It is a special model, not so easy to disassamble, because I had to take much care for the plastic base which can break very easily. Luckily it had its towing hook, too.

Originally it was a German Police Car, but I thought, this Mercedes should be my fourth custom with the stickers of the Hungarian Police (Rendőrség).

 After the restoration in white colour, without any details:

Hungarian Police Car 3

This is also a SIKU model, a Mercedes-Benz 240 (This model was also produced by Corgi, but only in the SIKU version had opening doors, the Corgi is shut.)

 

 

It was ok for restore/customize, only I changed the wheels. The chassis got a new paint, but not white, in this case blue and the stripe was white with the blue 'Rendőrség' (Police) letters.

Hungarian Police Car 2

This very old SIKU Ford 17M Turnier is a rare find in Hungary, so I was glad to get it and all of the parts were fairly OK. It was in the colours of the German ADAC, but I knew that I will make something different decor for it. Only I didn't know: shall it be a doctor's car or a police car? 

I painted it white (still without any decoration) and gave it new wheels:

Then I found out, that I will continue the Hungarian Police Car series with this model:

This is a SIKU-made Volkswagen Passat Variant Police Car. Originally it was in fairly good condition, still has got the areal, too. Luckily the windows and the wheels were OK, so I didn't have to replace them. 

I decided to paint it white, but still didn't know to make another police car or a doctor's car?

 

 

Then occured to me to make a Hungarian Police Car from the seventies. So I designed stickers which were similar to the Hungarian police cars of that era.

 And of course, I painted the details, too.
