Another taxi, the Matchbox Ford LTD

This Ford LTD Taxi is beyond the Lesney-era, but interesting enough to get one and restore it. Originally it was a taxi and I didn't change this function, the result was also a taxi - only with a bit different decor.

The original was in this condition:

S it was out of question, that I had to restore it!

It got a unique custom L-ype box:

The Lesney-made Matra Rancho

I always liked this car, so I decided to get one. That model I bought two years ago was not in mint condition, I had to restore it. Originally it was blue, but I preferred this light metallic green. Naturally I detailed it, too.

And I made a custom box for it:

Another Lesney Pontiac Coupe

It is always a must to restore a Pontiac Coupe if I find one in a very bad condition. This happened some months ago, I found a Lesney SuperFast MB-22 Pontiac, which cried out to save! Naturally I obeyed and bought it.

The chassis was ok, but I needed to get new windscreens and wheels. And instead of the original metallic lilac, I gave it metallic bronze colour.

And of course, I detailed it and made a small American-like number plate, too:

American or French? The Chrysler 180

Previously I didn't have this car, only the last year I bought it. The Chrysler is an American brand, but it is a French car (not only this model, but the real one, too). The model was made (still in France) by Majorette and it is a finely detailed production, I like it very much!

It was in fairly good condition, only a bit sabby (but worth to restore):

When I got it, it was light brown. I gave it a new colour:

The Thunderbird of the Ford

This is a fairly good Matchbox International product. Although it is not one of my favourites, I bought it at a börse, because the parts were alright, so I thought I would restore it.

In this condition I found it:

Originally both the chassis and the baseplate were red, I changed the colour of the upper part  to light beige. And got a number-plate and that was all.

Another Speed King: the Monteverdi Hai

The original car (sorry I've got no photo about that) had orange colour and was shabby, so it cried for restoring! I painted it in bright red colour and gave back its original-look sticker.

The parts of the car were alright, only the wheels had to be changed (for HW-wheels).

At last I made for it a unique L-type box, too.

Another British Ford - the Zodiac Mk.IV

I always liked the shape of this Ford Zodiac which had been made with narrow and wide SF wheels, too. Now my car has got narrow wheels, which I thought to be changed, but then I changed my mind and I used the original wheels.

This is the before picture:

It got bright metallic green colour and the details, of course!
